Jen and Clint are Married

Jen and Clint are Married!

I had the pleasure of working with Jen and Clint on there October 20 wedding. They could not have asked for a more beautiful day. Although it was windy, the wedding went off without a hitch. Since we were over seeding the Golf Course this week, the couple was able to go onto the course and take a few pictures. I put some below so you guys could see the great work that Mikki Carlson there photographer did. Also take special notice to the brides cake, from Matty Cakes. The cake topper is the spitting image of the bride and groom.

Doering 60th Wedding Anniversary

I recently had the pleasure of working with one of our members on her parents 60th Wedding Anniversary. The family wanted to have a small gathering of friends and family on a Sunday after church. After a crazy weekend, we managed to pull off a flawless plated event for 50 people. I especially loved the flowers and the fact that Mr. Doering went around the room and spoke about everyone who had attended the party. It was rather touching!

Halloween

Mom don't you just love the hair of the 80's.....

I love the Fall. I love everything about it including opening my windows and giving my air conditioner a break. I love the fact that this is the time when my mom pulls out her gumbo pot and makes her first gumbo of the season. I love pulling out my sweater and blankets and wrapping up to watch a good movie. I love going to football games with my dad and eating those Great stadium hotdogs. Lastly I love the fact that I now have the choice of which Halloween costume to wear for this year’s Berry Creek party.

Now let me give you a little background on Halloween in my family. My mom, such a trouper, never really cared much for Halloween. If you have ever tried to “fake” liking a holiday for the joy of a child then you know how hard it was for my mom to “fake” liking Halloween. Needless to say she always made sure I had a Halloween costume for the big day. Trust me they were never store bought or fancy, but they did the Trick and I got the Treat!

With all that being said, I am pretty excited about this years Halloween Glow ball, Friday October 26, and Kid’s Costume Contest and Halloween Party taking place Saturday October 27. If you will recall both events were unbelievably successful last year and in Berry Creek fashion we know this year will only be better.

As usual we are diligently planning this years events as we speak, and look forward to the fun fill and action packed costume contest for both the adults (Friday) and the children (Saturday).

I promise you aren’t going to want to miss this Halloween Extravaganza at the Club! So check your emails, look for a flyer in this months bill and don’t forget to make plans to attend this years festivities. I can promise you won’t be sorry.

Also, don’t forget we are always here to help you plan any upcoming event. Birthday Parties, Meetings, Golf Tournaments and Especially Holiday Parties, we can do it all. All you have to do is call.

Celia and Mike

Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Michael McDonald! I was so lucky to be a part of this couple wedding Ceremony and Reception. This is the first wedding I have actually had time to take pictures of once the room was set up. The couple choose a red, cream and white color scheme to accentuate the centerpieces they choose to put in the middle of the table. Each table consisted of a mirrored round, three candle votives, a small candle holder with flowered centerpiece, red rose petals and finally a picture frame of a 1950’s celebrity. I thought at first the pictures were of family members but at closer inspection I realized my initial assumption was wrong. Actually the groom pointed this out to me after I told someone touring the place it was there family members…..jeez sometimes I am not that quick!

The great thing about this couple was they really took time to make it there own and personalize things. The couple placed two great pictures of there parents on the cake table to symbolize the long lasting marriages both had been a part of. The also presented there Groomsmen with Longhorn hats, since the entire party was avid longhorn fans, and the groomsmen wore them during the toasts….to cute! I am so glad Mike and Celia let me be a part of there big day and I wish them the happiness and love that many in there family have already found.
